Southern Roots

I've always dreamed of making my own soap!  It took nearly 12 years to get things going, but to say I am excited is an understatement!!!

 

Growing up in small-town Kentucky, the South has always been "HOME".  In the South, the importance of cleanliness has been passed down from generation to generation. I found that I am no different. From the time my boys were small, I stressed the importance of keeping yourself clean.  I often found myself telling them,  "don't forget to wash your stinky piggies!"  Many years and many baths later, this bath-time phrase became the inspiration for this company, Stinky Piggies LLC. 

 

As a wife and mom with two boys living in Northwest Indiana, I want my southern roots to inspire products I LOVE.  All of my soaps and goodies showcase the smells and phrases I cherish from childhood.  From Bourbon to Honeysuckle, these smells take me home to earlier, simpler times, of playing with siblings, gathering with friends and family, and simply enjoying life. As the world seems to move faster and faster, taking a moment to myself and having a smell bring back an old memory of childhood or moment of joy, is often just the get away I need. That is what I hope my soaps bring to you and your family. Moments of memories made and memories past to help escape the world outside. Lose yourself in the moment, enjoy things as they happen, and pamper yourself because you deserve it! 

 

The tea towels are a project that is a fairly new passion of mine, but they showcase some of my favorite sayings and sights from the South.   I truly hope you love them as much as I do!
